What are the security measures on site?

There are multiple cameras in and around the site, which are being monitored at all times. There are also dedicated security patrol guards, including overnight and on weekends.

Who should I call in case of emergency?

If there is a true emergency, please call 911.    If you have a comment about the construction site itself, please submit your comments on this website and we will respond to you promptly. Please click here to comment.  

What are the hours of construction work?

Typical project work hours are from 7 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday.  This time range is in accordance with Boston City Ordinances, however the majority of work on-site will be performed during the hours of 7 am to 4 pm.  Occasionally there will be work that is performed after 4 pm due to logistical or safety reasons.  We will try to limit this work to the extent that we can, specifically any work that is loud.  Off-hours and weekend work will be utilized in cases when the project schedule needs to be maintained or phases of the work need to be performed to minimize impacts to the neighborhood.  We will update the website with notifications of such activities in advance.

We are also continuing to coordinate with the utility companies performing work on Necco Street so that we are able to communicate any off-hours work and road closures associated with their work in advance.

What is the pest control program?

We have a robust pest control program that has been approved by the City of Boston’s Environmental Sanitation Department. We are also working with our neighbors at 5 Necco, the 10 Necco Garage, 300 A Street, and other adjacent properties, to ensure that we are providing comprehensive pest control coverage and strategy.  

Will there be any utility shutdowns for neighbors?

Per utility company policies, any neighboring buildings that have utility interruptions are directly notified by utility company (likely only Eversource for this project).  We will add any known planned interruptions to our website as possible.
